first visit
In-Depth History
During the first appointment, the doctor will be taking an in-depth history to find out what your major stressors – physical, chemical and emotional – have been. The nervous system is the stress adaptation system of your body, so we are looking to see why that system has been/is being overwhelmed and why you may be experiencing the challenges and symptoms you’re having. At this time we will discuss your health goals. Our doctor wants to make sure your goals are heard so that we can take care of you the best moving forward.
Examination
After a thorough history has been conducted, our doctor will perform a detailed examination. At this time the doctor will also find subluxations (misalignments) in the spine causing miscommunication between your brain and body. These subluxations are directly related to the stressors - physical, chemical, and emotional - that your body handles on a daily basis. X-rays will be taken if needed.
First Adjustment
When working with an overwhelmed and overstressed nervous system, we take an overall approach of "less is more" in which we look to calm the nervous system versus overstimulate it further. We take this approach in nearly all of our cases and truly see better results when the body is allowed to rest and heal.
We base our adjustments on our history and exam results. This allows us to be very specific in the course of care and approach to make sure we are getting to the root cause of the neurological stress. Then we can begin to remove the interference, allowing the body to function optimally.
During your first adjustment, the doctor will explain everything as they go, making sure to answer questions so everyone can feel comfortable. From infants to pregnant mamas and all the kiddos in between, we take a personalized approach to achieve each person’s health goals.
second visit
Report of Findings + Recommendation of Care
During your second visit, the doctor will go through their examination findings, and neurological scan results. Our doctors will craft a customized care plan for your child through analysis of their healthy story, exam findings, and neurological scan results. It is proven time and time again, that care plans in our office help children and family reach their health goals and beyond!
